Privacy
This page covers the Do Not Forget Today app and this website, donotforget.today.
The short version
- The app has no account and no sign-in.
- What you enter in the app stays on your phone.
- The app has no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.
- This website collects your email address only if you give it to us.
What the app keeps on your phone
The app stores the following on your device and nowhere else:
- Your reminders, and any voice memos you record for them
- Everything in Swayam: calendar entries, expenses, vault entries, notes and saved links
We do not receive this information and we cannot see it. No copy is kept on our servers. Deleting the app deletes it.
Backups you make
Swayam can export your entries to a file so you can keep a backup or move to a new phone. That file is not encrypted, and it includes your vault entries. Store it somewhere you trust.
Permissions the app asks for
- Notifications, so reminders can appear on time. Reminders are scheduled on your phone itself.
- Microphone, only while you record a voice memo. Recordings stay on your phone.
You can turn either permission off in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working.
Content the app downloads
Prayers, proverbs, Jharoka, Daily Special and the Sansaar directory are loaded over the internet from Google services (Sheets, Blogger and Fonts) and from public code libraries. When the app loads them, those services receive standard technical information such as your IP address, as happens with any web page. The app does not send them anything you have typed or recorded.
What the app does not do
- It does not create an account for you or ask you to sign in.
- It does not show advertising.
- It does not use analytics or tracking tools.
- It does not take payments in the current version.
- It does not sell or share your information, because it does not collect any.
This website
- Launch news. If you enter your email address, we keep it with our hosting provider, Netlify, and use it only to tell you about the app's launch.
- Support messages. If you write to us through the support page, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.
- Hosting. Netlify keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run the site. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and Jharoka posts from Blogger.
To have your email address or message removed, ask through the support page.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
